BIB Technologies
Call-In
Post-pitch story
Deloss Pickett came to the show with a "business in a box" idea: mobile retail pods that could put a storefront anywhere. The concept kept moving after the pitch. BIB Technologies changed its focus from pods to electric vehicles, building a mobile commerce and delivery platform it calls Automato. It's basically a store on wheels that can go to its customers. In October 2022 the company got a U.S. patent for its mobile transport and delivery system. That's a real milestone for a small hardware-heavy startup. In November 2024 BIB announced a partnership with Fairway EV to get the truck fleet it needs to grow. Pickett is still involved as a co-founder, with Nanavati Low now serving as CEO. BIB hasn't announced large funding rounds or an acquisition, and it looks like a lean, mostly self-funded operation. Still, the company that pitched pop-up retail pods now holds a patent and has a fleet partner for electric storefronts. It took a few turns to get here, but the idea of bringing the shop to the shopper is still the core of the business.
