Post-pitch story
Iñaki Gonzalez pitched Climatta in Season 15 (Episode 180, "Climatta: Planet vs. Money"). The company automates utility and ESG data collection — a space where no APIs exist, so Climatta scrapes utility-provider portals directly and pulls up to 24 months of data in minutes. Its software flags tax deductions, power-factor penalties and peak-shaving savings, with no hardware required. At the taping, Climatta reportedly had about $90,000 in annual recurring revenue across five enterprise customers, and Gonzalez was raising $750,000. The panel's main concern was go-to-market: Climatta was selling to Chief Sustainability Officers, who often lack budget authority, instead of the CFOs and COOs who control the money. Gonzalez's founder page on The Pitch doesn't carry a "Funded" tag, which suggests no deal closed in the room — though we haven't confirmed that against the full episode. Climatta has real funding history independent of the show: a Techstars-led pre-seed in 2024 and a $180,000 seed round in May 2025 backed by Techstars and Orbit Ventures, whose portfolio page lists Gonzalez as CEO alongside co-founder and CTO José Luis Vargas del Rio. The company operates across Argentina, India, Mexico, Peru and the US. No new funding or revenue news has surfaced since the episode aired.
