Post-pitch story
Sisters Leigh and Casey Isaacson pitched Dig, a dating app for dog lovers, and actually won investment on the show — from Phil Nadel and Charles Hudson, no less. The idea had real charm: if your dog doesn't like their dog, there is no second date. Leigh even spun the concept into a cat-lovers sibling app, Tabby, which landed a $300,000 deal with Kevin O'Leary on Shark Tank in 2021. But niche dating apps live and die by scale, and scale never came. Dig is now listed as deadpooled, and Tabby has faded as well. Leigh — now Leigh D'Angelo — has moved on to a very different industry: she's Senior Communications Manager at Modern Hydrogen, a clean-energy company. Dig's story is a fan favorite because it got everything right on paper — a memorable pitch, real investor backing, a Shark Tank sequel — and still couldn't beat the brutal math of consumer dating apps. The dogs, presumably, remain excellent judges of character.
