Post-pitch story

Maria Schneider pitched Dynofit as a way to take the guesswork out of physical therapy, and unlike most companies from the early seasons, she's still running it today. The company's flagship product became Flexdot, an EMG wearable — a small sensor that reads muscle activity — built for remote patient monitoring in physical therapy. The idea is simple: instead of a patient doing exercises alone at home and hoping for the best, the therapist can actually see whether the right muscles are firing. The big milestone came when Flexdot achieved FDA listing as a Class II medical device, a regulatory bar most hardware startups never clear. That listing matters: it means the device can be used in genuine clinical settings, not just sold as a wellness gadget. Schneider remains CEO and co-founder of Dynofit, Inc., and alongside the company she does community volunteer work focused on alleviating urban poverty. Dynofit never became a household name, and it hasn't announced the kind of mega-rounds that make headlines — but it survived, got a medical device through the FDA, and is still operating nearly a decade after the pitch. In a season where most companies are gone, that quiet durability counts for a lot.
