Post-pitch story

Faiza Malik and Syed Hussaini pitched Splyt during Season 6. Canadian corporate records show the pair incorporated Splyt Legal Solutions Inc. on April 3, 2018. That company was dissolved on May 4, 2023, for not keeping up with filing requirements, which usually means the business had already stopped operating. One clarification, since search results can be confusing: a different company called Splyt, a ride-hailing technology firm backed by SoftBank and Grab, was acquired by Kakao Mobility in March 2023. As far as we can tell, it has no connection to Malik and Hussaini's company. They simply shared a name. Beyond the incorporation and dissolution records, there's little public trace of what Splyt did after the pitch: no funding announcements, product launches or press coverage that we could find. That's not unusual. Many early-stage startups quietly wind down without a press release. If you know Faiza, Syed or what came next for Splyt, send us a tip and we'll update this page. For now, the record shows a company that started in 2018, pitched on the show and officially ended five years later.
