Post-pitch story

Debbie Wei Mullin pitched her Vietnamese pour-over coffee kits in 2019, and the hustle hasn't stopped since. In 2021 she took the company to Shark Tank and landed a $600,000 deal with Robert Herjavec. Retail expansion followed in a big way: by 2023 Copper Cow was in over 2,400 stores with 50% year-over-year revenue growth, and 2024 brought placement in 469 Target stores plus a limited-edition churro flavor tested in Costco. What sets the company apart is the supply side — it pays Vietnamese farmers double the market rate to support a transition to organic farming, and in March 2025 it launched the first-ever certified organic Vietnamese coffee line, landing on shelves at Erewhon. Notably, by early 2024 Mullin had steered the company toward self-sustained growth, expanding without raising new venture capital. Active, profitable, and still founder-led — Copper Cow is quietly one of the most durable consumer brands to come through the show.
