Gwyneth Borden
Pitched on the show
Remynt
Post-pitch story
Gwyneth Borden founded Remynt in 2022 to change the way debt collection works. Instead of the usual mix of fear and shame, Remynt uses AI to reach people with past-due accounts in a more respectful way, and helps them rebuild their credit while they pay. Its customers are banks and, especially, credit unions. Remynt's pitch to The Pitch landed during a period of steady progress. The San Francisco company, with about nine employees, raised a pre-seed round in 2023. Its own news page lists several more funding events through 2025, though the amounts aren't public. The bigger story is how Remynt has tied itself to the credit union world. According to the company, it became a Credit Union Service Organization, a structure that lets credit unions own and invest in it directly. It also announced a strategic investment from One Washington Financial and a partnership with Washington State Employees Credit Union. Finopotamus, a credit union news site, profiled the company in January 2025. Most of these details come from Remynt's own announcements, and we couldn't confirm the amounts independently. Still, getting credit unions to invest in a vendor is a strong signal that they believe in the approach.
