Jeff Walsh pitched Illuminent with a product every coffee drinker could understand: a rechargeable, app-connected sleeve that keeps your to-go cup hot — or your cold drink cold. It was a clever bit of consumer hardware, the kind of thing that seems made for crowdfunding. What happened after the show is hard to say with certainty, because Illuminent's public trail is faint. The company's LinkedIn page shows a tiny following and signs of a team that has scattered, and we could find no funding announcements, product launch coverage, or press after its appearance. We also couldn't find what Jeff Walsh is doing today. One note for the curious: there's a completely unrelated CBD company in Illinois also called Illuminent — same name, different everything. As far as we can tell, the coffee-sleeve Illuminent is dormant or closed, though we've found no formal shutdown announcement, so we're marking this one as low confidence.
