Investrio
Post-pitch story
Joyce Medeiros, formerly of Goldman Sachs and Quantitative Brokers, and Laura Texidor, a former venture investor, pitched Investrio in Season 14 (Episode 174, "QuickBooks for the People"). After going through Techstars, the pair had moved on from an earlier debt-tracking tool to an AI bookkeeping app for solo business owners. They described it as Mint meets QuickBooks, with an AI assistant named "Vestie." At the taping the app had been live for about five weeks, with roughly 500 signups, around 25 paying users at $20 a month and about $5,000 in annual recurring revenue. They were raising $1 million. They didn't get a deal. Charles Hudson, Elizabeth Yin, Jesse Middleton and Dawn Dobras all said no, which Texidor later talked about openly on LinkedIn, calling it "the day we got four no's." Texidor came back for the Season 14 finale to talk about what happened after the show, but The Pitch didn't report a funding close. Investrio's current status is unclear. When we checked, investrio.io showed a "page not found" error. That could mean the company shut down, changed its name or moved to a new domain, or it could just be a temporary outage. We found no news confirming a closure. We'll update this story once we know more.
