Post-pitch story

Lucas Poelman opened Season 15 (Episode 176, "Your AI Website Sucks. PeachWeb is the Future") pitching a no-code platform for building immersive 3D websites, powered by WebGL and AI. He was raising $500,000 in front of Charles Hudson, Elizabeth Yin, Jesse Middleton and Dawn Dobras. By Poelman's own account on LinkedIn, he got four no's that day. But the story has a twist: the day after the taping, he met e-commerce platform Shoplazza at a conference and landed a lead investor for a bridge round. He says that brought PeachWeb's total raised to $1.7 million. That figure comes only from Poelman himself, so treat it as unconfirmed. The company started in 2022 as Peach Worlds, a 3D website agency that worked with Warner Bros., LEGO and Selfridges, raising a $540,000 pre-seed in late 2023 and an $850,000 extension in 2024 from Reflexive VC, Jenson Funding Partners and Lightning Capital. It rebranded to PeachWeb in early 2025. The London-based company is live at peachweb.io, selling custom 3D builds from $9,000 to $50,000-plus alongside hosting plans, with Grega Trobec as CEO and Poelman as co-founder.
