Marquett Burton
Pitched on the show
Fletch
Post-pitch story
Marquett Burton pitched Fletch as a smarter way for schools to take attendance, using Bluetooth beacons so students check in automatically. After the show, Fletch moved its headquarters from Chicago to Erie, Pennsylvania, in 2019 through the Secure Erie accelerator, and it received $50,000 in seed investment through the Erie Innovation District in 2020. Since then, Fletch has kept a low profile. Industry trackers listed a team of 11 to 50 people in 2024, and the attendance service still appears to be active for schools. Burton is still listed as co-founder and CEO. There's no splashy acquisition or huge funding round here, just a founder who took his company to a new city and kept it running. Fletch hasn't shared much publicly in recent years, so if you know more, send us a tip.
