Brevity Pitch
Post-pitch story
Kelvin Johnson and Eric Nelson founded Brevity in 2020 to solve a problem Johnson knew personally: founders and salespeople ramble. The original product was an AI pitch coach that helped you tighten your delivery. When Johnson pitched it on the show in May 2023, the investors pushed on whether a pitch coach could be a big business. The company answered by changing what it was. Brevity has since pivoted from coaching pitchers to coaching entire sales teams — its platform now offers AI role-play, call analysis and training plans for enterprise sales reps, and Johnson even published a book, the "Sales Trap Prevention Playbook," under the Brevity brand. The company has raised roughly $800,000 across several rounds, counts Bronze Valley among its backers, and has grown to a distributed team of dozens across the US, Poland and Ukraine. It's a classic post-pitch story: the founders heard the skepticism, kept the name, and built the bigger business the investors were asking about.
