Ofo Ezeugwu pitched WhoIsYourLandlord (now known as Whose Your Landlord) as a review platform for renters: think Yelp for landlords and apartment buildings, giving tenants a voice before they sign a lease. It has grown into something much bigger. The company now calls itself a data platform for housing, and its centerpiece is the Resident Trust Index, a proprietary measure built from resident feedback that it says can predict housing stability. That data has found big-name customers, with insights deployed for Fannie Mae, Goldman Sachs and Related Affordable. Universities and government agencies now use it too, to understand renters' experiences before problems become crises. In March 2026, CBS 8 San Diego featured the company for helping college students avoid predatory rental practices. Ezeugwu was named a 2026 Global Good Fund Fellow and spoke at the national DCRE real estate conference in July 2026. He remains founder and CEO. What started as a tool to help one renter avoid a bad landlord has become a data source used by some of the largest players in housing.
