Post-pitch story

Pierre Laguerre's Fleeting was one of the show's most ambitious logistics pitches: a trucking company built around training and hiring incarcerated and returning citizens for well-paying careers on the road. The business grew quickly after its 2018 founding, reaching $9.7 million in revenue within three years. Laguerre also made history along the way as the first Black man to raise more than $1 million through equity crowdfunding. The original company didn't last. PitchBook now lists Fleeting as out of business. But Laguerre didn't leave the industry or drop the name. In November 2025 he launched Sancus Logistics by Fleeting, operating as an independent Landstar agent. The new venture is deliberately narrower: high-value, time-sensitive freight, handled with what Laguerre describes as disciplined execution rather than chasing volume. He serves as its CEO. It's a sober second act. Fleeting proved there was real demand and real revenue in its model, and its crowdfunding round opened doors for other founders. The rebuilt business is smaller and more careful, but it keeps the Fleeting name and the founder's commitment to an industry that gave second chances to people who needed them most.
