SVRF
Post-pitch story
Sophia Dominguez pitched SVRF as a search engine for virtual and augmented reality, a way to find immersive content in a fast-growing but scattered new medium. The pitch worked: SVRF won backing from investor Jillian Manus on the show. In May 2020, SVRF was acquired by Poplar Studio, a 3D and AR marketing company, and Dominguez joined Snap Inc. as a director working on AR platform partnerships, where she helped shape Snap's Spectacles work. In January 2025 she left Snap for an extended break, and she has said she's working on something new. SVRF found a home, and its founder spent years at the center of the AR industry she had pitched about.
